BeeS - perimeter protection system
Solutions > Perimeter protections > Fence-mounted protections
HOW IT WORKS
BeeS™, GPS Standard R&D team have developed new electronic boards using the latest generation of chipsets with much improved computing power. We are now able to analyse even the smallest of signals to detect intrusion attempts on any type of fence – from rigid metal to looser, more lightweight structures.
BeeS™ can manage both piezoelectric sensor chains as well as sections of microphonic cable. This simplifies design of the anti-intrusion system and also installation, greatly reducing time - and as a result of this, costs.TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Residential or industrial sites with perimeters protected by any type of fence, concrete and brick walls, roofs and conduits.
DISTANCES
From 10m up to 8x50m (Stand Alone)/ 26.6 Km (Multiplex).
ALARM ZONES
Max 50 meters per channel (up to 8). Double loop of max 100m per channel is needed when using microphonic cable for fences higher than 2 meters.
ADVANTAGES
Easy to install on fences, walls, or roofs. We analyse digital signals to detect and categorise different types of intrusion, which makes the probability of a real detection extremely reliable and eliminates nuisance alarms. Extremely cost effective.
OVERVIEW
BeeS™ is a perimeter protection system that can manage both piezoelectric sensor-chains and sections of microphonic cable using one analyser. It can protect any type of fence. BeeS™ uses DSP technology on a microprocessor which can analyse signals in time and frequency domain incredibly accurately. When installed the system can separate recurring environmental signals from real alarms, greatly reducing nuisance alarms. Signals generated by the sensors are automatically compared with those previously stored in the system settings. Based on the type and duration of the signal, the system recognises what it has received and, where necessary, activates an alarm.
VERSIONS
BeeS™ is available in three versions: a Stand-Alone USB, a Stand-Alone LAN for a maximum protection of 400 m (eight zones of 50 meters each) and a Multiplex version for a maximum protection of 25.6 Km with a single perimeter control unit (MIND™).
The architecture allows the connection of up to 64 MIND™ units.
OPERATION
BeeS™ operations are based on detection by sensors - either piezoelectric sensor chains or sections of microphonic cable - of any mechanical stresses generated by an intrusion attempt such as climbing, lifting, or cutting of the fence.
These stresses are detected by the sensors which - due to a piezoelectric effect – are translated into electrical signals. The DSP analyzer provides enormous computing power and therefore allows the implementation of Fourier Transforms, Digital Filters and more. It can manage separately eight zones (channels) of 50 meters each. If the signal received exceeds the preset threshold, following comparisons between the system’s set parameters, it will generate an alarm or pre-alarm anomaly.
Depending on the conformation of the perimeter, the degree of sensitivity required and the type of fence, you can choose which sensor technology to use and which sensitivity level to set for each individual section.
The system can be connected to any type of alarm control unit and, during system installation, it is possible to adjust the operating parameters via personal computer, tablet and smartphone.
